Sage and the team are SO knowledgeable about the bridal industry and they make you feel so beautiful, perfect, and special every step of the way! The store itself is immaculate, the aesthetic is so classy, truly the entire shop is a vibe. Their selection and variety of gowns is what every bride needs!

The dreamiest bridal boutique ever!!! From the moment I walked into Modern Dress I felt like a princess. The staff was so kind and the selection of dresses was amazing. My stylist was very knowledgeable and helped me work through all the different types of dresses to find my dream dress! Everyone that came along with me to find my dress also had a blast. I couldn't have been happier with my dress and experience at Modern Dress!

I said yes to the dress here! The girl who helped me, Savannah I believe is her name, she did an outstanding job. She made sure she stayed within the budget my mother and I gave her, and she was very thorough in her recommendations. She was so encouraging and made me feel genuinely beautiful in what I tried on and she was the reason I found THE dress. They also let me try on my mom’s wedding dress just for fun and everyone LOVED it. It made for such a special memory. The whole staff and owner were so amazing and attentive. Dress shopping at Modern Dress was a great experience! Modern Dress has a great selection of dresses and accessories. Sage was very helpful in finding dresses that suited my style and ultimately the dress! I also appreciated the store layout because it was very spacious and each bride had their own room and space for guests. Would definitely recommend!!

I had the best experience here. I was super nervous because I hadn’t gone dress shopping but I worked with Taylor and she was so nice! She picked dresses that fit what I was looking for and made me feel so comfortable. It was such a fun day!

I never write reviews but I had to for Modern Dress!! Even though I didn’t find my dress here, I still had an amazing experience with Sage during my first bridal appointment. She made me feel completely comfortable from the moment I walked in and took the time to put me in a wide range of styles with breeze which really helped me get a better sense of what I wanted. I couldn’t have asked for a better first bridal experience. Her kindness, patience, and professionalism made the whole appointment so positive and memorable. I went to 4 bridal shops in total and by far Sage was theeee best. I truly appreciated her support and would highly recommend working with her!

Taylor was a great stylist and was so patient and thoughtful throughout the process! I enjoyed the laid back environment, the attention to detail, and not feeling rushed. I called the night before seeing if they’d have certain things I’d like and was able to get an appointment the next day! Overall, was a quality and beautiful experience!!

Such an amazing experience with Taylor!!!!!!! We started by just picking out a few dresses we liked, then Taylor was able to gauge my style and what I was looking for and pulled the PERFECT ONE!!!! She made this experience so amazing and listened every step of the way :) after we finished up, they even recommended a Christmas decorated bar in town to celebrate at which was also a highlight of the trip for my bride crew!!

Modern Dress was my favorite dress shopping experience of the four stores I visited. They were patient and brought suggestions to the room based on feedback I was providing on the dresses I had tried. They also feature designers that many stores in the Des Moines metro do not, which gave me the opportunity to find my dream Made With Love gown. They also offered a package for preserving my gown. I would highly recommend making the trip outside of the metro to see what they have to offer!

I cannot recommend Modern Dress enough. Savannah was so incredibly helpful and patient and knew exactly what I wanted before I was able to explain it. I found my dress on my first appointment and was even able to walk away with it that same day! They have so many options and it was so clean, professional, and fun!
